OVERVIEW

The Bachelor in Medical Lab Technology(B.Sc MLT) program is specially designed keeping the specific demand of testing different parameters of blood, serum, plasma and many more test to diagnose the specific disease of the patient. So to fulfil this demand Hospitals need an upgraded and skill oriented lab professionals. This program is specifically developing those Medical lab oriented Professionals.

Lab Facilities

Four well equipped laboratories with latest configuration desktop computers and Internet.

Programming Laboratory

The Programming Laboratory is equipped with latest configuration computer terminals with Internet connection, chairs, white board and good quality furniture. Programming lab is exclusive for the software programs. It has softwares like Ubuntu OS, Java, gcc, Python. The lab is used for the course subjects like Programming and Problem Solving (Python), Object Oriented Programming (C++) etc. The Laboratory area is 68.57 Sq. Mt.

Network Laboratory

The Network laboratory is equipped with a high end configuration desktop computers and interconnecting devices, Internet connection, chairs, white board and good quality furniture. All machines are configured with latest networking software packages and network simulators. The lab is used for course subjects like Computer Networks, Information and Network Security. The area of Network Laboratory is 70.70 Sq. Mt.

Short Brief About the Program

B.Sc. in Biotechnology is a three-year undergraduate programme offering a strong foundation of biotechnological concepts. This programme is streamlined to endow students with an improved knowledge of the cellular and bi-molecular processes and study them through the development of a variety of technologies.

Orientation program

The orientation program at University A is designed to welcome new students and help them acclimate to campus life. Student’s Industrial visit at Ruby hall Clinics

Industrial visits are significant for paramedical students as they provide hands-on experience and real-world exposure to healthcare settings. These visits allow students to observe the practical applications of their theoretical knowledge, enhancing their understanding of medical equipment, patient care processes, and the functioning of healthcare facilities. Guest lectures organized by ASH& B department, Dr. D. Bhalerao director of research in rubyhall clinics given his expert insights and real-world experiences from professionals in the field. These lectures enhance the learning experience by introducing students to current trends, advancements, and best practices in healthcare. By engaging with industry leaders, students can gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the paramedical sector. Additionally, such events facilitate networking opportunities, helping students build connections that may benefit their future careers. Overall, guest lectures enrich the academic curriculum and contribute to the professional development of paramedical students.

Guest lecture on Mental awareness program

Steffanie Grimes a counsellor from M-Power, Aditya Birla Hospital, Pune had an intraction with alard school of health and biosciences students. Mental awareness programs are crucial for promoting mental health and well-being within communities and educational institutions. These programs educate participants about the importance of mental health, helping to reduce stigma and foster open discussions about mental health issues. Ultimately, such initiatives contribute to a healthier, more informed society that prioritizes mental well-being.

Distribution of First-Aid kit among all the departments

Dean of ASH&B took inciatives to distribute the first aid kit among all the deapartments. Dr. Ajai Kumar Jain also told us the significance of a first-aid kit, providing immediate care during medical emergencies. Having a well- stocked first-aid kit ensures that individuals can promptly address minor injuries, such as cuts, burns, or sprains, and stabilize more serious conditions until professional medical help arrives. It promotes safety and preparedness in various settings, whether at home, school, or in the workplace.

Workshop on Recent trends and scope of Paramedical and Biosciences

A workshop titled “The scope and recent trends in paramedical Sciences & Biotechnology” was organised by Alard School of Health & Biosciences, Alard University, Pune on 03rd and 10 th October-2024. There were 04 sessions in the workshop on areas of-Radiography & Imaging technology, Operation theatre technology, optometry, and Biotechnology. Dr. abhijit, Mr. Sanjeev singh & Mr. Pramod has inform about the various scope of paramedical field in various sector eg. Hospital industries,R&D and corporates companies, they also aware about the details of new trends and various scope in the field of paramedical as well as biotechnology. The workshop was inaugurated by VC madam Dr Poonam Kashyap and blessed by Chairman and Chancellor Alard University-Dr L. R. Yadav. Dr. Ajai Kumar Jain, the dean of the school emphasized that these programs are not only precious but very much in demand in Industry. He emphasized that the students could make the bright carrier in these areas. The students were happy and gave positive feedback for the workshop, approx. 100 students got benefitted by this workshop. The workshop was managed by the team of students and faculties. Dr Savita Petwal, Mr. Ashish and Ritu were present during the workshop.
